Where To Travel ?

Deciding where to travel can be quite difficult. Some of the best places to visit can often seem unreachable. Have no fear. If you are reading this then you have come to the right place.

Travel can be attained by setting realistic goals and expectations. And today I am going to share with you my favorite affordable yet exotic places around the world.

1. Jordan

When I mention Jordan, people either don’t know where it is or they think it is a dangerous place. Jordan is border to Syria. And because of this, it is often overlooked. I recently visited Jordan and have never felt safer. Jordan is a place not to be missed! It has so much to offer.

While in Jordan you can visit the lowest place on earth. This is the dead sea that borders Israel and Jordan. You can also visit one of the most iconic wonders of the world. Petra is so magical and breathtaking that it is reason enough to visit Jordan.

Once you have visited the two most famous sites Jordan has to offer, you can head to Wadi Rum and enjoy a jeep ride through its desert. If you go early in the morning, you will have this place all to yourself. I highly recommend you take the time to do this.

2. Sri Lanka

A piece of my heart remains in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country that is relatively untouched. However it is up and coming. So the tourism numbers are rising. And let me tell you, it’s with good reason.

The best way to see this country is by doing a road trip. You can hire a professional driver for a reasonable amount of money. You can also rent a vehicle and do it yourself. But I suggest hiring someone who is familiar with the area and carefully plan your itinerary. This is the tour company I used. Sri Lanka Brother’s Tour. My driver’s name was Danushka, I can’t recommend his company enough.

My suggestion is to take 10 days to make the best out of your vacation.

You can start out in the busy city of Colombo and make your way out to Ella. In Ella you can hop on the famous scenic train ride. If you choose to you can also enjoy a safari. Where you can spot wild animals. Such as elephants, leopards and bears. Sri Lanka also has some beautiful beaches to explore.

Sri Lanka has 8 world heritage unesco sites and is home for some of the best hiking trails. It also has rooms for every budget, from tree houses to luxurious accommodations.

3. Laos

Laos is a hidden gem in Asia. It is home to Kuang Si Waterfalls. This waterfall alone was my reason of visiting Laos. It did not disappoint. The waterfall has been described by several bloggers as the shade of blue gatorade. They nailed the description. It is the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen in my life. There is nothing like it.

Laos is also an inexpensive country, so your money will go a long way! A one hour massage in Laos is only $4 usd!!! I was getting massages on the daily.

In addition to it’s beauty, they have great food, night markets, and one of the best beers in Asia.

The country is still a bit undeveloped. But if you ask me, that’s the beauty of it. The only thing I suggest you skip all together is elephant treks. Otherwise known as riding elephants. This is a common tour in Asia but it is very bad for many reasons. Please visit this link to further inform yourself.

4. Vietnam

Vietnam is one of the most hospitable places in the world. People are so kind and friendly. It’s natural breathtaking landscapes are one of a kind.

Visit Hanoi and get lost in the busy city. Take a food tour and sit in the tiny plastic chairs you see on tv. Hanoi has some of the best Vietnamese street food and I gladly gained weight there because it is so worth it.

Only a short day trip away you can visit the village of Tam Coc in the Ninh Binh province. Take a memorable boat ride through caves.

Vietnam has been one of my favorite countries in the world. There are so many beautiful places to visit in Vietnam that you can’t possibly go wrong. I will just have to make a whole blog on that.

5. Peru

Well guys, Peru has it all, beaches, deserts, cute Llamas and the unforgettable Machu Picchu.

Although Peru is very touristy, it is still a place everyone should visit at least once. Lima, the capital of Peru has made a name for itself in the culinary scene. The city has some of the most delicious food. One example is their famous Ceviche. I was skeptical at first but once I tried it. Mmmhmm I was on board.

When in Peru you must visit Machu Picchu, The Sacred Valley, Huacachina Oasis, Sal De Mara, and enjoy a luxury train ride. If you don’t know what these places are, no worries. I have videos on these amazing places.

6. Mexico

Viva Mexico !! Tacos, Food & Beaches!

Mexico is a destination very close to the states. It is an affordable destination with all inclusive resorts that will save you lots of money.

But where in Mexico?

Honestly, you can’t go wrong. But here is what I recommend. If you love snorkeling or diving, visit Cozumel. It has world’s leading diving spots. The last time I went the waters were still in great condition. But if you are heading to that area, it is good to check the Sargaso in advanced.

Quintana Roo also has so many fun family friendly adventure parks. Xplore Fire is one of my favorite ones. Mexico is a perfect destination for the whole family.

7. Bali

The land of dreams. I often get asked if Bali is over rated. It isn’t, Bali is with good reason a very popular destination.

Here are some of the reasons you should visit Bali.

First off it is very affordable! You can stay in luxurious accommodations and live like a King with very little money. Check out my video of this private villa with its own poll that I stayed in for $50usd. As a result of this, it is home to many expats.

In Bali you can visit the monkey forest. This is a forest where monkeys reside. In addition you can visit the rice terraces. And lets not forget the famous instagram swing! If you are up for an adventure. Hop on a boat and head out to the Gili Islands.

Listen, it seems like I have talked about food a lot on this blog. But the food in Bali is so good and healthy. If you visit, you have to try the Nasi Goreng.

I hope this blog has given you plenty of ideas of some of the best places to visit. Remember, the biggest investment will be your flight. But once you arrive, these countries are fairly inexpensive. Have fun exploring!
